Product description

Room temperature, humidity and TVOC controller with Modbus RTU communication. It measures temperature, relative humidity, air quality (TVOC) and ambient light level. The typical use is in commercial and residential environments. The supply voltage is 24 VDC PoM - this means that Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply can be connected via one RJ45 connector. The sensor algorithm can directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator via Modbus RTU communication. All measurements and the output value are available via Modbus RTU. The TVOC sensor element is replaceable. In many applications, the ambient light sensor can be used to control the ventilation system in function of the occupancy of the room. All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. Also the light intensity of the LEDs for status indication is adjustable. The enclosure offers an IP20 protection against ingress of dust and moisture.

Is there sufficient fresh air supply?
This HVAC transmitter offers a clear, visual indication of the air quality level via the green, yellow and red LED. The green LED indicates that the TVOC level is within range - there is sufficient fresh air supply. When the TVOC level enters the alert range, the yellow LED lights up. Red means: TVOC out of range or insufficient fresh air supply. The measured temperature, relative humidity, TVOC and ambient light level are available via Modbus RTU.
  
How to control air quality?
The output of this sensor can control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The output value varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration. When more fresh air is required, the sensor will increase the fan speed or open the damper. The control output is available via Modbus RTU.
  
Reduced installation time
One RJ45 connector is all it takes to connect this sensor! Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply are connected via one UTP cable - we call it Power over Modbus or PoM. To facilitate wiring, we recommend to use a Sentera 24 VDC power supply with RJ45 connector. These power supplies offer protection against short circuit, overload and overvoltage. A 24 VDC supply voltage increases the safety and reliability of your installation.
  
Easy to use!
This sensor doesn't require any configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings will do for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, the different ranges and the light intensity of the LEDs for status indication are adjustable. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.
  
High quality
Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. In the unlikely event of TVOC sensor element failure, this module can be replaced. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. It can be mounted on a wall indoors. To ensure optimal performance, it should be protected from direct sunlight.
