Multiple Measurements: It measures temperature, relative humidity, air quality (TVOC), and ambient light in commercial and residential environments.

Simplified Connection: Uses 24 VDC PoM (Power over Modbus), allowing both the power supply and Modbus RTU communication to be connected via a single RJ45 connector.

Direct Control: The sensor's algorithm can directly control an EC fan, AC fan speed controller, or damper actuator via Modbus RTU.

What is TVOC and How Does the Sensor Indicate Air Quality?
TVOC or Total Volatile Organic Compounds evaporate from substances such as cleaning products, adhesives, paints, etc. TVOCs are also emitted from humans and animals. That is why a TVOC sensor provides a good, overall image of air quality. This HVAC transmitter offers a clear, visual indication of the air quality via the green, yellow and red LED. The green LED indicates that the TVOC level is within range - there is sufficient fresh air supply. When the TVOC level enters the alert range, the yellow LED lights up. Red means: TVOC out of range or insufficient fresh air supply. The measured temperature, relative humidity, TVOC and ambient light level are available via Modbus RTU communication.
  
How Does the Sensor Control Fans and Dampers?
This sensor can control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator via Modbus RTU communication. The output value can be read out in the Modbus register. It varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature, humidity and TVOC concentration. If necessary, one or two of these sensors can be disabled. When more fresh air is required, the sensor will increase the fan speed or open the damper. The control output is available via Modbus RTU communication.
  
How Does the Sensor's "Power over Modbus" (PoM) Connection Work?
One RJ45 connector is all it takes to connect this sensor! Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply are connected via one UTP cable - we call it Power over Modbus or PoM. To facilitate wiring, we recommend to use a Sentera 24 VDC power supply with RJ45 connector. These power supplies offer protection against short circuit, overload and overvoltage. A 24 VDC supply voltage increases the safety and reliability of your installation.
 
  
What Are the Sensor's Quality, Durability, and Mounting Features?
Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. In the unlikely event of TVOC sensor element failure, this module can be replaced. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. It can be mounted on a wall indoors. To ensure optimal performance, it should be protected from direct sunlight.
