Solution description

Variable air volume flow (VAV) for AC fans with single-phase motor. The maximum motor current is 10 A. AC fan speed is automatically controlled to maintain the differential pressure constant at the desired setpoint. The setpoint and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU communication. Fan speed is controlled by reducing the motor voltage via phase-angle (TRIAC) control.

MVS is an electronic fan speed controller designed for single-phase, voltage-controlled motors with a maximum current of 10 A. It regulates fan speed by changing the motor voltage using phase-angle control with Triac technology. The controller has a housing for DIN rail mounting. The motor voltage can be controlled via an analogue input or through Modbus RTU. The type of analogue input is selectable via a DIP switch, allowing for either 0-10 VDC or 0-20 mA signals. A remote start/stop command can be generated via the digital input. The minimum and maximum speeds are adjustable via internal trimmers. The device also offers various operating modes, as well as Kick start or Soft start acceleration, all selectable via Modbus RTU. The unregulated output is activated when the motor is running.

Differential pressure controller with display for fans. A typical application is Variable Air Volume flow or VAV control. The supply voltage is 24 VDC. The operating range is 0 to 2.000 Pa. It controls fan speed to maintain differential pressure or air volume flow constant at the set point. Air velocity control is also possible in combination with a Pitot tube connection set: PSET-PTX. The setpoint can be adjusted via Modbus RTU communication. The sensor output controls EC fans, frequency inverters or AC fan speed controllers via 0-10 V. Another output type can be selected if necessary. The 7-segment LED display and the four LED indicators provide a clear visual indication of the transmitter status and the controlled values. The differential pressure setpoint and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.
