The DSTHG-3 measures temperature (-30—70 °C) and relative humidity (0—100% rH, non-condensing). It offers selectable temperature and relative humidity ranges.

It requires a supply voltage of 24 VAC or 24 VDC. It features three selectable analogue / modulating outputs (for temperature, relative humidity, or selectable temperature/humidity).
All parameters are accessible via Modbus RTU (RS485).

Thanks to its bootloader feature, firmware can be updated via Modbus RTU communication.

It has an IP54 protection rating for the enclosure and an IP20 protection rating for the probe. This sensor is a reliable solution for applications requiring in-duct temperature and humidity control.

Which parameters are measured and why is it important?
This sensor measures temperature and relative humidity in air ducts. The dew point is calculated based on this measurements. 
Temperature and relative humidity (RH) play a major role in human comfort and the sense of well-being. These parameters are continuously influencing each other. Monitoring and balancing both temperature and relative humidity (and/or dew point) is therefore essential for maintaining stable indoor conditions, preventing condensation, and improving overall comfort and health. Most Sentera sensors measure temperature and relative humidity for complete climate control.
 
What are the configuration and customisation options?
This sensor requires little configuration and can be used almost immediately once it has been installed. Temperature and relative humidity can vary depending on the region and season. These parameters are set to the correct values during installation, while the other default settings are typically suitable for most applications.
The sensor has three analogue outputs. Each of them transmits one of the measured values and the output value changes in proportion to the measured temperature or relative humidity. Different output types are available, including 0–10 VDC, 0–20 mA, 0–100% PWM, or Modbus RTU. By default, output 1 provides the measured temperature and output 2 relative humidity. The output type is set to 0–10 V, which means that output 1 will transmit 0 V at 0 °C and 10 V at 50 °C. Output 3 is disabled by default, but can transmit temperature or relative humidity.
Modbus RTU communication is used to transmit the measured values and can be used to change all of the settings. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.

How is the sensor installed, and what are the power and connectivity requirements? 
The sensor is designed for installation in rectangular or circular air ducts. The black mounting flange simplifies installation onto circular ducts. For optimal performance, place the sensor in a straight section of the duct. Avoid installing near filters, fans, cooling coils, or other sources of turbulent airflow. Make sure the sensor is positioned correctly according to the airflow direction. For more information, please refer to the mounting instructions.
The supply voltage is 24 VAC or 24 VDC. The ground terminals of the power supply (V-) and output (GND) are internally connected. This means that a 3-wire cable is required to connect this sensor. Make sure not to connect this common ground to other devices that are powered by a DC voltage. The cage clamp terminal blocks reduce wiring and installation time. They eliminate the need for routine maintenance and guarantee a reliable contact for solid or stranded wires.

All sensors are designed and manufactured in Europe. Each device is calibrated and tested in our factory. Only high-quality components are used, ensuring long-term stability and accuracy.
The enclosure is produced in-house by Sentera Plastics from premium R-ABS plastic, providing exceptional strength and durability. The enclosure offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. The sensor element is housed within the duct sensor probe, which has an IP20 protection rating. The probe includes an opening that allows airflow to come into direct contact with the sensor element.
