Product description

This is a differential pressure controller with two setpoints. It controls differential pressure or air volume flow.

The analogue output can directly control EC fans, frequency inverters or AC fan speed controllers. The requested differential pressure is kept constant, regardless of the demand.

The output type can be selected: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM. One of the two setpoints can be activated via the dry contact input. This makes it possible to distinguish a day and night regime for example.

The setpoints and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.

The supply voltage is 24 VAC or 24 VDC. It can be used in the range of 0 to 6.000 Pa.

Differential pressure pertains to the assessment of the variation between two process pressures, typically featuring two process connections. Given that heating and cooling operations constitute nearly half of the energy consumption in commercial buildings, facility owners and managers are driven to explore methods for enhancing HVAC operations. Their aim is to reduce operating expenses while upholding the quality of occupied spaces. An integral strategy for optimizing HVAC systems involves employing  differential pressure transducers.
Sentera's differential pressure controllers serve to regulate airflow and pressure disparities between two designated points within an HVAC system. This data empowers facilities to monitor system performance in realtime through the Building Management System (BMS), facilitating necessary adjustments and optimizations to heating, cooling or airflow operations. The continuous monitoring of these metrics by the BMS enables dynamic airflow adjustments, thereby ensuring optimal indoor conditions while minimizing energy consumption.
Our low differential pressure controllers are purposefully engineered for seamless integration into HVAC control systems. They enable the monitoring of pressures between rooms, duct static pressures and differential pressure across filters. These controllers deliver an analogue output to an EC fan or AC fan speed controller, subsequently adjusting fan speed to optimize pressure levels within the system as required.
The SPS2 differential pressure controllers are designed to directly control EC fansfrequency inverters or other controls with two pressure setpoints (high/low or day/night mode). They provide an analogue (0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA) or digital output (PWM, open collector) with integrated PI control and K-factor setting. The two setpoints are switchable via external switch/contact or with digital output. All system parameters are controllable via Modbus RTU communication.
 
Constant pressure, air volume flow or air velocity
This differential pressure controller regulates EC fans or AC fan speed controllers to maintain a constant pressure at the setpoint, in the operating range from 0 to 6.000 Pa. Additionally, it offers the flexibility to control fan speed based on either air volume flow (measured in m³/h) or air velocity (measured in m/s).
For controlling air volume flow based on the fan K-factor, an additional connection set (type PSET-PVC-200 or PSET-QF-200) can be utilized. This connection set also allows for differential pressure control. Alternatively, for controlling air volume flow based on duct cross-section (measured cm²) or air velocity, an optional connection set (type PSET-PTS-200 or PSET-PTL-200) can be employed.
 
3-wire connection
The supply voltage, the analogue output and Modbus RTU communication can be connected via the screw terminal block, guaranteeing a reliable contact for solid or stranded wires. This sensor controller can be supplied with 24 VDC or 24 VAC. It is intended for 3-wire connection. The ground of the output (GND) is internally connected to the ground of the supply voltage (V-). Make sure not to connect this common ground to other devices that are powered by a DC voltage.

High quality enclosure
The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is heat resistant, very tough and offers good protection against impacts. The pressure connection nozzles are made from aluminium. The sensor enclosure offers an IP65 protection against ingress of dirt and water. This pressure controller can be wall-mounted both indoors and outdoors.
