CO control, AC induction motor


Forced ventilation can help remove a build-up of toxic gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) from a room. For example cars with combustion engine moving around an enclosed parking garage, can cause such an accumulation of CO and NO2. This solution controls the AC fan speed in function of the measured CO or NO2 level. The higher the measured concentration, the higher the fan speed will be. The range minimum and maximum levels and all other parameters can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. The power supply provides extra protection against short circuits and overload at the 24 VDC side. In case the motor windings feature an integrated temperature sensor (TK or PTC), it can be monitored on continuous base. As soon as the motor temperature becomes too high, the motor is disabled to protect it from breaking down. This control solution is designed for three phase 230 VAC motors with a maximum current of 2,3 A
