Solution description

Fan speed control via 0-10 Volt signal for AC fans with single-phase motor, equipped with thermal contacts. The maximum motor current is 1,5 A. The supply voltage is in the range between 115 and 230 VAC. AC fan speed can be adjusted via an analogue control signal. The DADCM module converts the analogue control signal into Modbus RTU communication. Modbus RTU communication can bridge greater distances than an analog signal. Fan speed can be regulated from high to low or from low to high. All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. The TK monitoring function disables the motor in case motor overheating is detected via the thermal contacts.

Description

RTVS8-15L22

1 U.

Transformer fan speed controller with Modbus RTU interface. The supply voltage is 115 - 230V AC. Single-phase motors of the RTVS8 series are controlled via Modbus protocol. The maximum motor current is 1.5 A Fan speed is controlled by varying the motor voltage in steps. The autotransformer technology produces a perfectly sinusoidal motor voltage. This ensures quiet motor operation. A special impregnation coating reduces electrical noise from the autotransformer. The required fan speed can be regulated using Sentera potentiometers (SPV series), Modbus I/O modules or BMS systems. it can also be controlled with our Sentera HVAC sensors depending on temperature, relative humidity, CO2 and air quality (TVOC). The housing can be surface mounted. The protection class is IP54.

This analogue to Modbus converter is equipped with 8 analog inputs that are configurable through the Modbus RTU protocol. 4 out of the 8 inputs can be set to support the following types: 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA or 0-100% PWM signals. The remaining 4 inputs can be configured to handle 0-10 VDC and 0-20 mA signals. The analogue input data is transmitted to Modbus RTU Input Registers. The module is powered by a 24 VDC Power over Modbus (PoM) supply, which means that both the power source and Modbus RTU communication are established through the RJ45 socket. This module is designed for easy installation on a DIN rail within an electrical cabinet.
