The RCTHM-2 is a smart room sensor with adjustable temperature and relative humidity ranges.

It measures temperature (0-50 °C) and relative humidity (0-95% rH, non-condensing). It generates an output value based on the measured data, which can control an EC fan, AC fan speed controller, or a damper with an actuator.

It offers adjustable temperature and humidity ranges, and includes an ambient light sensor with adjustable 'active' and 'standby' levels.

It is powered by 24 VDC via Power over Modbus (PoM) with an RJ45 connector. All parameters are accessible via Modbus RTU. Firmware can be updated via Modbus RTU using its bootloader feature.

It features 3 LEDs with adjustable light intensity for status indication. It has an IP30 protection standard.

How Do the LEDs and Outputs on the Sensor Work?
The green, yellow, and red LEDs on this HVAC sensor controller provide a distinct, visual indication of the temperature. The green LED shows that the temperature is within acceptable limits. The yellow LED turns on when the temperature reaches the alert range. Red indicates extreme temperatures. The LEDs can also be used to visualise relative humidity. Modbus RTU provides access to the measured temperature, relative humidity, and ambient light level. This sensor's output can operate a damper actuator, an AC fan speed controller, or an EC fan. In proportion to the measured temperature and relative humidity, the output value changes. For instance, the sensor will increase the fan speed or open the damper if the relative humidity rises.
 
How Is the Sensor Connected, and What Is PoM Technology?
It only takes one RJ45 connector to connect this sensor. Power over Modbus (PoM) refers to the connection of Modbus RTU communication and a 24 V DC power supply via one single cable. We recommend using a Sentera 24 V DC power supply with RJ45 connector to make wiring easier. These power supplies have short-circuit, overload, and overvoltage protection. A supply voltage of 24 V DC improves the safety and dependability of your installation.
 
 
What Are the Sensor's Installation and Customization Options?
This sensor requires very little configuration. Once installed, it is almost directly ready to use. Temperature and relative humidity are frequently region- and season-dependent. These parameters are still set to the correct values during installation. The other default settings are likely to be adequate for most applications. They can, however, be adjusted using the respective Modbus registers if necessary.  The light intensity of the LEDs for status indication for instance is adjustable. This HVAC sensor controller is manufactured in Europe. Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. It can be mounted on a wall indoors. To ensure optimal performance, it should be protected from direct sunlight.
