Product description

A room transmitter can measure ambient light levels, relative humidity, and temperature. The distinctive enclosure accommodates flush or surface mounting. The supply voltage is 24 V DC. The sensor algorithm controls the single analogue output based on the measured values. This one output can be used to directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller, or a damper actuator. There is a choice in output format.

All measurements and the output value are accessible via Modbus RTU.
The ambient light sensor can be used in a variety of applications to control the ventilation system based on the amount of people present in the room. Adjustments are possible for every setting with Modbus RTU. The light levels of the LEDs used for status indication are also programmable.

This HVAC sensor is frequently used to regulate humidity and temperature in data centers, museums, wine cellars, etc.

Is the temperature comfortable?
This HVAC transmitter measures temperature, relative humidity, and ambient light. The temperature is visually indicated by the green, yellow, and red LEDs. The green LED indicates that the temperature is within acceptable limits. When the temperature reaches the alert level, the yellow LED illuminates. Extreme temperatures are indicated by the colour red. The LEDs can also be used to show relative humidity. The measured temperature, relative humidity, and ambient light level are available via Modbus RTU communication.

What can be done to avoid condensation?
The output of this sensor can control a damper actuator, an AC fan speed controller, or an EC fan. The output value varies in proportion to the measured temperature and relative humidity. For example, if relative humidity rises, the sensor may increase the fan speed or open the damper.
Simple connection
The cage clamp terminal blocks simplify installation and reduce wiring. They provide a reliable contact for solid or stranded wires and eliminate the need for routine maintenance. The supply voltage is 24 V DC. There is no internal connection between the ground terminals on the power supply (V-) and the output (GND). This means the sensor must be connected with a 4-wire cable. The majority of 24 V DC power supplies have overload, overvoltage, and short circuit protection. By including a 24 V DC supply voltage in your installation, you can improve its safety and dependability.
Surface mounting versus flush mountingFlush mounted sensor
The sensor enclosure provides IP30 degree of protection against moisture and dust ingress. It can be integrated into a typical European wall mounting box or mounted on the wall. When the sensor is flush mounted, only the front plate will be visible on the wall.

Easy to use
This sensor requires very little configuration. It is almost directly usable once it has been installed. Temperature and relative humidity are often region- and seasonal-specific. These parameters are still adjusted to the correct values during installation. The other default settings will probably be suitable for most applications. However, they can also be adjusted via the respective Modbus registers if necessary.
A different output type, for example, can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC; 0-20 mA; 0-100% PWM; Modbus RTU. The light levels of the LEDs used for status indication are also adjustable. The Modbus register map provides an exhaustive list of all programmable settings.
