The RCTHG-2 is a smart room sensor designed for optimal indoor climate control. It measures both temperature (0–50 °C) and relative humidity (0–95% rH). The sensor's core function is to control a single analog/modulating output based on these measurements, which can directly manage an EC fan, AC fan speed controller, or a damper actuator.
It includes an ambient light sensor with adjustable "active" and "standby" levels and offers adjustable temperature and humidity ranges. For easy connectivity, it uses spring-contact terminals. All parameters are accessible via Modbus RTU, and the sensor's bootloader feature allows for firmware updates through this same communication protocol.
The device also features three LEDs with adjustable light intensity for status indication and has an IP30 protection standard. This makes it a smart and integrated solution for a variety of indoor climate control applications.

This HVAC controller measures temperature, relative humidity, and ambient light level. The temperature is clearly indicated by the green, yellow, and red LEDs. The green LED indicates that the temperature is within the temperature range that has been set. When the temperature falls into the alert range, the yellow LED illuminates. The colour red represents extreme heat or cold. The LEDs can also show the relative humidity. The Modbus RTU protocol allows access to the measured temperature, relative humidity, and ambient light level.
The sensor's output can directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller, or a damper actuator. The output value varies in direct proportion to the measured temperature and relative humidity. For example, if relative humidity rises, the sensor will increase fan speed or open the damper.
What Are the Sensor's Wiring, Power Connection, and Safety Features?
The cage clamp terminal blocks simplify wiring and installation. They eliminate the need for routine maintenance and ensure a solid or stranded wire contact. This sensor can be powered by either 24 V DC or 24 V AC. It is designed for a three-wire connection. The output ground (GND) is internally connected to the supply voltage ground (V-). Make sure not to connect this common ground to any other DC-powered devices.

What Are the Sensor's Installation and Customization Options?
There is only little configuration necessary for this sensor. It can be almost directly used once it has been installed. Temperature and relative humidity are often region- and seasonal-specific. These parameters are still set to the correct values during installation. The other default settings are suitable for most applications. However, if necessary, they can also be adjusted via the respective Modbus registers. For example, a different output type can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC; 0-20 mA; 0-100% PWM; Modbus RTU. The light levels of the LEDs used for status indication are also adjustable. The Modbus register directory provides a complete list of all programmable settings.

This HVAC sensor controller was made in Europe. In our factory, each sensor is calibrated and tested. We use high-quality sensor elements and components. This ensures the HVAC transmitter's long-term stability and accuracy. The sensor enclosure is dust and moisture resistant to IP30 standards. It can be wall-mounted indoors.
