The HPD series is a dual differential pressure sensor that can simultaneously measure pressure in two separate locations. It operates within a range of 0 to 1,000 Pa.

In addition to pressure, it can calculate air volume flow using the fan's K-factor. When used with an external Pitot tube connection set, it can also measure air velocity.The device operates on a 24 VDC supply. It offers flexible outputs, providing two separate channels (selectable as 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA, or 0-100% PWM) and Modbus RTU communication.

All parameters are fully adjustable via Modbus RTU.With an IP65-rated, surface-mountable enclosure, the HPD series is built to withstand dust and moisture. Its primary use is to monitor the volume of both supplied and extracted air in ventilation systems and Air Handling Units.

What Can This Sensor Measure and Calculate Simultaneously?
This sensor measures differential pressure [Pa] in two different locations simultaneously. Based on the measurements, air volume flow [m³/hr] or air velocity [m/s] can be calculated. To calculate air volume flow based on the K-factor of the fan, use the optional connection set type PSET-PVC-200 or PSET-QF-200. This connection set can also be used to measure differential pressure. To calculate air volume flow based on the duct cross section [cm²] or air velocity [m/s], use the optional connection set type PSET-PTS-200 or PSET-PTL-200. Dual differential pressure sensor
 
What Are the Sensor's Analog Output Features?
This sensor has two analogue outputs. Each output transmits the measured differential pressure, air volume flow or air velocity proportionally. The default range of this sensor is 0 to 1.000 Pa. By default, each output transmits 0 V at 0 Pa and 10 V at 1.000 Pa. This range, the output types and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.
 
How Can Measured Values Be Retrieved and Configured?
To obtain the measured value from this sensor, there are two options. Either read it from the Modbus registers or via the analogue output. The latter proportionally transmits the measured pressure difference, air flow or air velocity. The standard range of this sensor is 0 to 1.000 Pa. By default, the output is 0 V at 0 Pa and 10 V at 1 kPa. This range, output type (0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100% PWM) and all other settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.
 
What Are the Key Applications and Connectivity Options?
This sensor measures air volume flow in two different locations simultaneously. It can be used to monitor the supplied and extracted air volume in ventilation systems or Heat Recuperation Units (HRU). This sensor can be connected to internet via a Sentera internet gateway. This makes it possible to log data or to adjust settings remotely.
 
What Are the Power Supply and Wiring Requirements?
The supply voltage, both outputs and Modbus RTU communication can be connected via the screw clamp terminal block. The supply voltage is 24 VDC. The ground terminals of the power supply (V-) and output (GND) are not internally connected. This means that a 4-wire cable is required to connect this sensor. Most 24 VDC power supplies offer protection against short circuit, overload and overvoltage. A 24 VDC supply voltage increases the safety and reliability of your installation
 
What Are the Sensor's Physical and Durability Features?
The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is heat resistant, very tough and offers good protection against impacts. The pressure connection nozzles are made from aluminium. The sensor enclosure offers an IP65 protection against ingress of dirt and water. This sensor can be wall-mounted.
