Solution description

Remote control for AC fans with single-phase motor, equipped with thermal contacts. The maximum motor current is 6 A. The fan speed controller can be mounted on a DIN rail. Via the external potentiometer, fan speed can be set. At zero position, the motor stops. The TK monitoring function disables the motor in case of overheating. The maximum distance between potentiometer and fan speed controller should remain limited.

This electronic fan speed controller provides precise fan speed regulation for 230 V single-phase motors with a maximum current of 6 A. It features an invertible analogue input signal, accepting either 0-10 / 10-0 VDC or 0-20 / 20-0 mA. It also includes a remote control input with selectable functionality (normal or timer), as well as an analogue input with normal or logic functionality for timer-based starts. The minimum and maximum output voltage can be set by internal trimmers or via Modbus RTU communication. The off value is also adjustable by trimmer or via Modbus. The device supports both kick start and soft start modes. It has one regulated output for the motor, one unregulated output (230 VAC / max. 2 A) for a 3-wire motor connection or voltage supply, and a low voltage supply output (+12 VDC / 1 mA) for an external 10 kΩ potentiometer. The device provides clear status indicators with a green LED for normal operation and a red LED for overheating. It also features an alarm output (230 VAC / 1 A) and is designed for DIN rail mounting.

With this 10 KOhm potentiometer you can directly control EC fans. If you want to control the speed of an AC motor, connect this potentiometer to an Electronic Fan Speed Controller (EVS, MVS) or frequency converter (FI-E). This potentiometer has an adjustable resistance of 0-10 kΩ. The device does not require a specific power supply, but the input signal must be between 0 and 24 VDC. Most EC fans, electronic speed controllers or frequency converters have an output with the required voltage. Depending on the position of the dial, the feedback voltage varies, regulating the Fan Speed. The dry contact output can be used to remotely give a start-stop command to the fan or other equipment. The splash-proof housing allows recessed installation (IP44) or surface mounting (IP54).
