Temperature | humidity controller flush mounting, 24 VAC - VDC

Product description

Room sensor to measure temperature, relative humidity and ambient light level. The unique enclosure allows flush mounting or surface mounting. The supply voltage is 24 VAC or 24 VDC. The sensor algorithm controls the single analogue output based on the measured values. This single output can be used to directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The output type can be selected. All measurements and the output value are available via Modbus RTU. In many applications, the ambient light sensor can be used to control the ventilation system in function of the occupancy of the room. All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. Also the light intensity of the LEDs for status indication is adjustable. Often, this HVAC sensor is used to control temperature and humidity in data centers, musea, libraries, wine cellars, etc.

Additional specifications and description

Is the temperature OK?
This HVAC transmitter offers a clear, visual indication of the temperature via the green, yellow and red LED. The green LED indicates that temperature is within range. When the temperature enters the alert range, the yellow LED lights up. Red means: too hot or too cold. It is also possible to visualise relative humidity via the LEDs. The measured temperature, relative humidity and ambient light level are available via Modbus RTU.

How to avoid condensation?
The output of this sensor can control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The output value varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature and relative humidity.
E.g. if relative humidity increases, the sensor will increase the fan speed or open the damper.

Easy to connect!
The cage clamp terminal blocks reduce wiring and installation time. They eliminate the need for routine maintenance and guarantee a reliable contact for solid or stranded wires. This sensor can be supplied with 24 VDC or with 24 VAC. It is intended for 3-wire connection. The ground of the output (GND) is internally connected to the ground of the supply voltage (V-). Make sure not to connect this common ground to other devices that are powered by a DC voltage.

Flush mountingWhat is flush mounting
The sensor enclosure offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. It can be mounted on a wall or it can be built into a standard European wall mounting box. In that case, only the front plate of the sensor will be visible on the wall - the sensor is flush mounted.

Easy to use!
This sensor doesn't require any configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings will do for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, a different output type can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM / Modbus RTU. Also the light intensity of the LEDs for status indication is adjustable. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.

High quality
This HVAC transmitter is manufactured in Europe. Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter.
