Product description

This is a single-phase motor two-speed controller. The maximum motor current (combined) is 3,5 A.

This controller has two distinct 5-step switches for selecting between two ideal fan speeds. It is possible to swap between the two specified speeds using the digital input. Normal motor functioning can be indicated by the unregulated output.

The fan speed is controlled by lowering the motor voltage using autotransformers. This method produces an output voltage with a perfect sinusoidal form, ensuring silent motor running.

The enclosure is surface mountable and provides IP54 protection against dirt, dust, and moisture entry.

About the series 
The SC2-1 series incorporates single-phase autotransformers which control the fan speed by altering the supply voltage in five predefined steps. The steps are set manually, using the control switches on the enclosure of the device. There are two control switches: one for high fan speeds and one for low fan speeds. The indicator light on the front indicates when the transformer is in operation. 
Autotransformer technology is used to reduce the motor voltage and the fan speed in 5 steps. This technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with perfect sinusoidal shape. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and extended service life. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise from the autotransformers.

Fans
The SC2-1 transformer speed controllers are designed for voltage-controllable motors operating at 230 V and 50–60 Hz. They are suitable for controlling the rotational speed of fans, pumps, and similar equipment.
The steps are adjusted manually using the control switches on the front of the enclosure. The controller provides the flexibility to switch between higher and lower fan speeds.
The controllers allow for the connection of multiple motors, provided that the total current drawn by all connected motors does not exceed the maximum current rating of the controller. It is important to adhere to the current limit to ensure proper operation and avoid overloading the controller.
When multiple motors are connected to the controller, they will operate at the same speed. The controller regulates the voltage supplied to the motors, ensuring synchronized speed control for all connected fans.
It is important to identify the type of motor being used and ensure compatibility with the controller. Special features
The controller allows for the selection of two optimal motor speeds, typically for day and night control or different operating conditions. These speeds can be switched using an external change-over contact, such as a thermostat or timer. This enables energy savings and increased comfort by adjusting the motor speed based on specific requirements. 
Indicator Light: The enclosure of the controller features an indicator light that illuminates when the transformer controller is in operation. This provides a visual indication of the controller's status and helps monitor its functionality.
Unregulated Output: All Sentera transformer controllers come with an unregulated output that provides a constant 230 VAC when the motor is enabled. This output is commonly used to control external devices such as run indicators, dampers, relays, and more. The output is either ON (230 Volt) or OFF (0 Volt) and can be utilized for various auxiliary functions. The unregulated output can be used to control a damper connected to the L1 and N terminals. When the connected motor stops working, the damper will close, and vice versa. This feature enables coordinated operation between the motor and connected components for enhanced control and functionality.

Enclosure

Enclosures play an important role in protecting the interior components or contents from various external factors such as debris, dust, water, and mechanical impact. The quality of enclosures is indeed essential to ensure the integrity and safety of the enclosed items. Therefore, the enclosure of the series is manufactured in-house. We use high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. The surface-mounted enclosure ensures durability and flame resistance besides the protection against impacts, dust, and water ingress. Its protection class is IP54.
