Discover the TVSS5-30CDT variable fan speed controller, engineered for precise control of three-phase 400V voltage controllable electric motors.
High and low speed are adjustable via internal trimmers.
Equipped with Modbus RTU communication and thermal contacts for overheating protection.
This controller ensures seamless connectivity and integration into industrial systems. With a max current of 3 A, the TVSS5 series offers remote control options, adjustable levels, and kickstart or softstart motor acceleration.
The analogue input type can be selected via jumpers or via Modbus RTU (0-10 V or 0-20 mA).
The TK monitoring function ensures motor deactivation in case of overheating, providing a reliable solution for expert motor speed control. Easily DIN-rail mounted.

Analogue input
The requested fan speed can be set via the analogue input signal. This analogue signal can be 0-10V or 0-20 mA. This analogue input can be set in ascending or descending mode. In ascending mode, the motor will run at low speed when the analogue signal is at its minimum value (0 V). The motor will run at high speed when the analogue input is maximum (10 V). In descending mode, the operation is inversed.
In case there is no 0-10V signal available, you can connect an external 10 KOhm potentiometer via the integrated 12 VDC power supply.

DIN rail mounting
The enclosure can be DIN rail mounted and offers an IP20 protection against ingress of dirt, dust and moisture. The plastic cover offers protection against contact with live parts. Thanks to this protective cover, the safety of the electrical installation is increased. The plastic cover has no impact on the IP protection rating of the TVSS5 speed controllers. TVSS5 speed controllers must be mounted on a DIN rail in an electrical cabinet, provided with sufficient volume and cooling.

Thermal motor protection
This fan speed controller can monitor thermal motor contacts (TK or thermal contacts measure temperature in the motor windings). In case of motor overheating, the TK monitoring function will disable the motor to prevent motor damage. If your motor is not equipped with TK contacts, bridge both TK terminals to simulate normal motor temperature.
