What are the configuration and customisation options?
This sensor measures temperature via a PT500 platinum element with an electrical resistance of 500 Ω at 0 °C. It has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance, which means that the resistance increases when the temperature increases.
Any device with an input for passive temperature sensors can read out the measured temperature.
How is the sensor installed, and what are the power and connectivity requirements?
The sensor is intended for mounting on a wall or flat surface indoors.
The sensor does not require a separate power supply. The platinum sensor element can be connected using a shielded 2-wire cable via the screw terminal block. This terminal block is suited for cables with a maximum cross section of 1.5 mm2. We recommend to keep the cable length limited. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout.
