Product description

Electronic circuit board with 10 kΩ trimmer to set EC fan speed. This trimmer can be mounted in a standard terminal block with a pitch of 10 mm. It can be integrated in an installation to adjust fan speed. The resistance value is 0 to 10 kΩ. It can handle an input voltage in the range of 0 to 30 VDC. The variable output signal (resistance value) can be set via the trimmer. There are two product versions: PTV-X05.5 for mounting in terminal blocks with a pitch of 5 mm and PTV-X10.0 for mounting in terminal blocks with a pitch of 10 mm.

How does it work?
The output value of the trimmer can be set in the range of 0 – 10 KΩ.
 
If a voltage of 10 VDC is connected to both outer pins, the middle pin returns a 0-10 Volt signal. By turning the trimmer with a screwdriver, the signal can be set in the range of 0-10 Volt (or 0-100 % of the supplied voltage).
  
Input voltage
The trimmer has a resistance value of 0 - 10 kΩ. It can handle input voltages in the range of 0 to 30 VDC. Voltages higher than 30 VDC will generate an electrical current that is too high and will damage the potentiometer.

This trimmer can be mounted in a terminal block with a pitch of 10 mm.  The pins of this PCB have a pitch of 10 mm. This PCB fits in the terminal block of Sentera fan speed controllers and frequency inverters with a pitch of 10 mm.
 
A typical application is to insert the PTV potentiometer in the terminal block of a fan speed controller. As soon as the enable signal goes high, the motor accelerates towards the set speed.
