The FLTSN-P1K0P100 passive temperature probe is a reliable sensor that measures temperature by detecting changes in electrical resistance. It is an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor HVAC applications.
The sensor has a positive linear temperature coefficient of resistance, meaning its resistance increases as the temperature rises. At 0 °C, its resistance is 1,000 Ω. These probes do not require calibration.
The sensing element is protected by an acrylic coating and a black ABS plastic tube measuring 89 mm x 8 mm, ensuring a robust and reliable construction with a long lifespan. Each probe comes with a 1-meter long, two-wire cable with tinned connections, which makes them easy to solder and prevents corrosion.

How Does This Temperature Probe Measure Ambient Temperature?
This temperature probe measures ambient temperature via a platinum element (PT1000). This sensor element has an electrical resistance of 1000 ohms at 0 °C. The probe has a positive linear temperature coefficient of resistance: when the temperature increases, the resistance also increases. Any device with an input for 'PT1000 passive temperature sensors' can read out the measured temperature.
What Are the Cable Specifications and Connection Details of the Temperature Sensor?
This temperature sensor has an integrated cable. This unshielded 2-wire cable has a length of 1 m. The wires have a cross section of 0,5 mm². If necessary, this cable can be extended. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout. This sensor doesn't require a separate power supply.
What Are the Design and Protection Rating Features of the Sensor Probe?
The sensor element is encapsulated in a plastic tube made from black ABS plastic. It offers and IP65 protection degree against ingress of dirt and water. The dimensions of the plastic probe are (89 mm x 8 mm).
