Fan speed controller | run indicator - 4 A

Product description

This is a variable speed controller with run indicator for single-phase motors. The maximum motor current is 4 A. It regulates AC fan speed from low to high. The fan speed can be set via the potentiometer. This potentiometer has an OFF-position (counter clockwise). The minimum speed can be adjusted via an internal trimmer. The enclosure allows surface mounting (IP54). The orange operating LED indicator is integrated in the enclosure. The supply voltage is 230 VAC. Fan speed is regulated by reducing the motor voltage via phase angle control - TRIAC technology.

Additional specifications and description

Manual motor control
Via the rotary knob, fan speed can be set from low to high by turning the knob clockwise. This knob has an OFF-position. Turning the knob counter-clockwise stops the motor.

Orange LED operating indicator
The orange LED indicates the operation status. During normal motor operation, the orange LED is activated.

One enclosure, different mounting possibilities
The enclosure is made of high-quality ASA plastic. This material is UV resistant, it protects against impacts and looks nice. It protects the electronics against ingress of dust, dirt and water. The protection class is IP54. Only surface mounting is possible.

Unregulated output
The unregulated output (230 VAC) is active when the motor is enabled.  It can be used to control a damper.
E.g. when the fan is deactivated, the damper is closed. When the fan is active, the damper is open.
