Power and Communication (PoM): Operates with 24 VDC PoM (Power over Modbus); this means Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply are provided via a single RJ45 connector.
Data Transmission: Measured values are transmitted through Modbus RTU communication.
Replaceable TVOC Sensor: The TVOC sensor element is replaceable.
Adjustability: All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.

What Does the HVAC Transmitter Measure and Where Should It Be Installed?
This HVAC transmitter measures temperature, relative humidity and TVOC in air ducts. VOCs or Volatile organic compounds are known to cause eye, nose and throat irritations, headache, difficulty concentrating and fatigue. VOCs evaporate from substances such as cleaning products, adhesives, paints, new carpets, copiers and printers to building materials and furnishings. VOCs are a good benchmark for assessing indoor air quality. This sensor will function best if it is installed in a straight section of the air duct. Avoid installation in turbulent air zones nearby filters, fans, cooling coils, etc. Position the sensor correctly with respect to the airflow direction. Please consult the mounting instructions for more detailed information.
How Is the Sensor Easily Connected, and What is PoM?
One RJ45 connector is all it takes to connect this sensor! Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply are connected via one UTP cable - we call it Power over Modbus or PoM. All measured values are available via Modbus RTU communication. To facilitate wiring, we recommend to use a Sentera 24 VDC power supply with RJ45 connector. These power supplies offer protection against short circuit, overload and overvoltage. A 24 VDC supply voltage increases the safety and reliability of your installation.
This sensor doesn't require configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings will do for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, the temperature or relative humidity range can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.
What Are the Sensor's Quality, Durability, and Protection Features?
Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. In the unlikely event of TVOC sensor element failure, this module can be replaced. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. The sensor element is integrated in the probe of the duct sensor. This probe has an opening to have a direct contact between the air flow and the sensor element. The sensor probe offers an IP20 protection.
