Automatic AC fan speed controller | dual output 3 A | Wi-Fi gateway
Product description
The TCMF8-302WF is an advanced controller for precise AC fan speed control in single-phase systems.
It automatically adjusts fan speed based on real-time sensor data and features an RGB LED status indicator. The controller offers kick start and soft start functions, as well as adjustable minimum and maximum motor voltage settings.
For connectivity, it receives data from up to four HVAC sensors via RJ45 connectors with Power over Modbus (PoM). It uses the Modbus RTU (RS485) protocol and has a built-in sensor power supply.
The device includes two separate TK inputs for motor thermal protection. This model also has a built-in Wi-Fi internet gateway. Firmware can be downloaded from SenteraWeb, after which you can keep the gateway connected or disconnect it.
It has an IP54 protection rating and a 2-year warranty.

Additional specifications and description
How Do TCMF8 Controllers Work, and Do They Require an Internet Connection?
TCMF8 controllers require application specific firmware. Typically, they regulate fan speed based on the input of the connected sensors or potentiometers. Application specific firmware can be downloaded via SenteraWeb - your personal HVAC cloud platform. This controller has an integrated internet gateway that can be connected via Wi-Fi. Once the firmware is downloaded the TCMF8 controller can work stand alone or it can stay connected to SenteraWeb.
What Are AC Fans and How Does the TCMF8 Control Them?
An AC fan is a fan powered by alternating current. It plays a crucial role in facilitating the circulation of air within heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. AC fans are commonly used in various cooling applications to dissipate heat generated by electronic components or to enhance air circulation in buildings. The TCMF8 is intended for on-demand control of AC fans and offers specific solutions depending on the customer’s needs.
Where Can I Find and Utilize Application-Specific Firmware?
What Types of Fans Does the Controller Support, and How Does It Operate?
This controller has two outputs to control AC fans with single-phase motor. The maximum combined current is 3 A per output. Fan speed is regulated by reducing motor voltage via phase angle control / TRIAC technology. This means that this speed controller is only suitable for voltage controllable motors. If you are not sure whether your motor is voltage controllable, it is best to contact the motor manufacturer. This speed controller works completely silently. The fan speed can be set via the knob on the front panel. Thanks to the accurate motor control, humming motor noise at low speed remains limited.
How Does the Controller Prevent Motor Overheating?
How Do You Connect External Device, and What is PoM?
External HVAC sensors or potentiometers can be connected via Modbus RTU communication or via the analogue inputs. To simplify wiring of the external devices, 24 Volt supply is available via the RJ45 socket. The 24 Volt supply and Modbus communication can be distributed via one cable - we call it Power over Modbus or PoM. All settings can be adjusted via the Modbus Holding registers.
Where and How Should the Controller Be Mounted?
This fan speed controller can be installed on a wall or panel indoors. Make sure that the fan speed controller can cool sufficiently. Preferably install it in a cool place, best not in direct sunlight. The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is flame extinguishing, very tough and offers good protection against impacts. It offers an IP54 protection against ingress dust and water.
