Product description
ROTSN passive temperature probes are designed for reliable and stable ambient temperature measurements. They use a PT100 platinum sensor with a positive temperature coefficient, meaning resistance increases with temperature. The sensor has a resistance of 100 Ω at 0 °C.
Housed in a plastic casing with an IP30 protection rating, the probes feature a low profile and concealed screws. Connection is made via a screw clamp terminal block, suitable for cables up to 1.5 mm². These sensors offer excellent long-term stability (< ± 0.04%).
They operate from -20 to 60 °C in non-condensing humidity (<95% rH).

Which parameters are measured and why is it important?
This room sensor measures ambient temperature. It is a passive sensor which uses a platinum element with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The measured temperature can be read by any device compatible with passive temperature sensors, providing accurate measurements for monitoring and control applications.

What are the configuration and customisation options?
This sensor measures temperature via a PT100 platinum element with an electrical resistance of 100 Ω at 0 °C. It has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance, which means that the resistance increases when the temperature increases.
Any device with an input for passive temperature sensors can read out the measured temperature.
How is the sensor installed, and what are the power and connectivity requirements?
The sensor is intended for mounting on a wall or flat surface indoors.
The sensor does not require a separate power supply. The platinum sensor element can be connected using a shielded 2-wire cable via the screw terminal block. This terminal block is suited for cables with a maximum cross section of 1.5 mm2. We recommend to keep the cable length limited. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout.

All sensors are designed and manufactured in Europe. Each device is calibrated and tested in our factory. Only high-quality components are used, ensuring long-term stability and accuracy.
The enclosure is produced in-house by Sentera Plastics from premium ABS and ASA plastics, providing exceptional strength and durability. With its contemporary look, the device seamlessly fits into most interior styles. It is designed for indoor use and offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. To ensure optimal performance, the sensor should be protected from direct sunlight.
