FLTSN-P500P100 passive temperature probe is reliable sensor that measure temperature changes by detecting variations in electrical resistance.
It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor HVAC applications.
These probes have a positive linear temperature coefficient of resistance, meaning their resistance increases as the temperature rises.
At 0 °C, their resistance is 500 Ω
They do not require calibration.
The sensing element is encased in an acrylic coating and a black ABS plastic tube (89 mm × 8 mm).
Each probe features a 1-meter long, two-wire cable. The tinned connections make them easy to solder and reduce corrosion.
Thanks to their simplicity and practicality, these sensors can be easily used in a variety of HVAC applications.

How Does This Temperature Probe Measure Ambient Temperature?
This temperature probe measures ambient temperature via a platinum element (PT500). This sensor element has an electrical resistance of 500 ohms at 0 °C. The probe has a positive linear temperature coefficient of resistance: when the temperature increases, the resistance also increases. Any device with an input for 'PT500 passive temperature sensors' can read out the measured temperature.
What Are the Cable Specifications and Connection Details of the Temperature Sensor?
This temperature sensor has an integrated cable. This unshielded 2-wire cable has a length of 1 m. The wires have a cross section of 0,5 mm². If necessary, this cable can be extended. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout. This sensor doesn't require a separate power supply.
What Are the Design and Protection Rating Features of the Sensor Probe?
The sensor element is encapsulated in a plastic tube made from black ABS plastic. It offers and IP65 protection degree against ingress of dirt and water. The dimensions of the plastic probe are (89 mm x 8 mm).
