FSTSN-P500-100 is a passive sensor for measuring ambient temperature.
The sensor uses a PT500 platinum element with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance and does not require a separate power supply. The cable length is 1 m.
The sensor element is resin encapsulated in a metal probe which provides an IP65 protection. The sensor is suitable for both indoor and outdoor HVAC applications.

What are the configuration and customisation options?
The sensor measures temperature via a PT500 platinum element with an electrical resistance of 500 Ω at 0 °C. It has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTC), which means that the resistance increases when the temperature increases.
Any device with an input for passive temperature sensors can read out the measured temperature.
How is the sensor installed, and what are the power and connectivity requirements?
The metal sensor probe has a length of 53 mm.
This temperature sensor has an integrated, shielded 2-wire cable with a length of 1 m. The cable can be extended if required; however, we recommend keeping the cable length limited. Increasing the cable length also increases the cable resistance, which may affect the measurement accuracy. The wires have a cross section of 0.5 mm². The cable shielding consists of tinned copper braids, acting as a Faraday cage and providing effective protection against electrical noise and electromagnetic interference.
The sensor is passive and does not require a separate power supply.
