Introducing the GTE21-60-DT, a grow room fan speed controller tailored for single-phase voltage-controllable motors. This innovative controller prioritizes precision by regulating fan speed based on measured temperature. When the ambient temperature falls below the setpoint, the fan remains idle. Upon surpassing the desired temperature, the exhaust fan accelerates to full speed until the temperature stabilizes. Set your ideal conditions in the 5 – 35 °C range for optimal produce growth.

Key features include a PT500 temperature probe input (pre-wired for DT version), potentiometers for temperature setpoints (5—35 °C) , and minimum speed setting. Internal trimmer allows for maximum speed adjustment with adjustable hysteresis and proportional range. Housed in a reliable RABS V0 grey (RAL7035) enclosure, the GTE21-60-DT offers , Schuko socket for motor connection, Euro plug for power supply and pre-wired temperature sensor and supply cable.

Technical specifications include a 230 VAC ±10 % / 50—60 Hz supply voltage, 6 A maximum motor current, Vmin adjustable (80—160 VAC) via potentiometer, and Vmax adjustable (170—230 VAC) via internal trimmer.

How does it work?
Fan speed is regulated based on the measured temperature. When the ambient temperature is lower then the temperature set point, the fan does not run. Once the measured temperature goes beyond the desired temperature set point, the exhaust fan accelerates towards full speed until the measured temperature is within range again. Once this happens, the fan speed will fall back until the idling speed is reached. After a while, the temperature will go out of bounds again and the fan will accelerate again. The desired temperature can be set in the range of 5 – 35 °C. This allows for selecting the optimal conditions for the growth of your produce.

This AC fan speed controller is 100 % ‘plug & play’. It works by simply plugging it into the mains network via a standard Schuko socket. It does not require any configuration or wiring. The PT500 temperature probe (4 m cable length) and the power supply cable (1,5 m length) are prewired. The exhaust fan can be connected via the Schuko socket as well. Consult the datasheet or mounting instructions to learn how to adjust the hysteresis and ranges. 
 
No configuration required
Via the two built-in potentiometers, it is possible to set the desired temperature and adjust the minimum motor speed. These potentiometers can be controlled by turning a rotary knob. The temperature setpoint can be set in the range of 5 – 35 °C. Motor speed is controlled by controlling the motor voltage. This fan speed controller therefore only  works for voltage controllable motors. If there is uncertainty whether your motor is voltage controllable, please check with your motor manufacturer. The minimum motor voltage can be set in the range of 80 – 160 VAC. The maximum motor voltage can be set in the range of 170 – 230 VAC through an internal trimmer.
 
Quality enclosure
This controller is the result of many years of experience in growing room air extraction combined with innovative electronics technology. This device is extremely reliable and safe. The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is flame extinguishing in case of fire. It is very though and it offers good protection against impacts. The enclosure offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dust, dirt and water. However, to guarantee a good service life, it should be installed in a place away from direct sunlight. This fan speed controller is suited for wall mounting.

Triac fan speed control
This fan speed controller uses Triac technology to regulate fan speed. Fan speed controllers with Triac technology regulate the motor continuously variable. The phase angle control of the Triacs ensure the fan speed controller operates completely silently. The drawback is that the motor may make some noise at low speeds. This is because the AC motor voltage will not have a perfect sinusoidal shape. To prevent motor noise, it is possible to increase the minimum motor voltage.

Pierwszym produktem, który kupiliśmy od Sentera był GTE-1-60-DT i używamy go od czterech lat do uprawy truskawek w szklarni. Chcieliśmy tego samego, ponieważ nadal jesteśmy zadowoleni z prostego sterowania, ale zakres temperatur nie był odpowiedni, ponieważ chcieliśmy go używać do uprawy sałaty, które wymagają niższych temperatur. Przedstawiciel klienta firmy Sentera poradził nam, abyśmy zastosowali nową wersję z Modbusem, ale woleliśmy sterowanie ręczne. Same dobre wyniki.

Reikia valdyti ventiliatorių, nieko paprastesnio ir patogesnio naudoti nerasite, viskas jau pajungta tereikia pajungti ventiliatorių ir nustatyti temperatūrą ir minimalų leidžiamą greitį, gal tik menkutis trūkumas, kurį žino visi, kas būna mažu greičiu paleidus ventiliatorių su elektronika, bet tai vis tiek labai geras produktas.

We chose this for our home because of the color and because it can be built-in. Looks good hidden in the wall, but we had many issues setting it up using the keyboard, because we decided not to connect with Modbus. The keyboard interface is not very user-friendly, so if you chose this, you’d better order the accessories to connect it to Modbus. Otherwise, once you’ve had it adjusted it works fine though we are still terrified of messing it all up

The first product we bought from Sentera was GTE-1-60-DT and we have used it for four years for growing strawberries in a glasshouse. We wanted the same one since we are still pleased with the simple control, but the temperature range wasn’t suitable as we intended to use it for growing salads, which require lower temperatures. Sentera’s customer representative advised us to take the new version with Modbus, but we preferred control by hand. Same good results.
