Temperature Sensor | Duct | PT1000 | Plastic probe | L 150 mm
Product description
This passive temperature sensor is specifically designed for air ducts. It utilizes a PT1000 platinum sensor element for temperature measurement.
The sensor element has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance, i.e., when the temperature rises, the resistance rises. The resistance at 0°C is 1 kΩ.
The sensor element is encased in a plastic tube with a length of 150 mm. It is suitable for installation in air ducts with a maximum diameter of 300 mm. The flying leads are 1 metre long, but can be extended.

Additional specifications and description
Which parameters are measured and why is it important?
This sensor measures temperature in air ducts. It is a passive sensor which uses a platinum element with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The measured temperature can be read by any device compatible with passive temperature sensors, providing accurate measurements for monitoring and control applications.
Temperature plays a crucial role in human comfort and overall well-being. Temperature not only affects how hot or cold a space feels, but also impacts health and productivity. It is important to create an indoor environment that ensures a general sense of comfort for everyone.
What are the configuration and customisation options?
This sensor measures temperature via a PT1000 platinum element with an electrical resistance of 1 kΩ at 0 °C. It has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance, which means that the resistance increases when the temperature increases. Any device with an input for passive temperature sensors can read out the measured temperature.

How is the sensor installed, and what are the power and connectivity requirements?
The plastic sensor probe has a length of 150 mm and can be installed in air ducts with a maximum diameter of 300 mm. The flying leads have a length of 1 m (2 x 0.5 mm2) and can be extended, if necessary. However, we recommend to keep the cable length limited. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout.
The sensor does not require a separate power supply.
What are the manufacturing quality and protection ratings?
All sensors are designed and manufactured in Europe. Each device is calibrated and tested in our factory. Only high-quality components are used, ensuring long-term stability and accuracy.
The platinum sensor element is housed in a plastic probe which provides an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture.
