Product description

Transformer controller with 0-10V analog input. It controls single-phase motors. The combined (maximum) motor current is 3.5A. The supply voltage is 230 V AC.

Autotransformer technology regulates speed at five levels by reducing the motor voltage. The fully sinusoidal output voltage ensures quiet motor operation.

The five voltage steps are selectable using an analog control signal (0-10 V) or an external potentiometer. The TK monitoring function stops the motor in case of overheating.

The plastic IP54 housing allows surface mounting.

About the series

Transformer-based control
The controller utilizes autotransformer technology to regulate fan speed by adjusting the motor voltage in 5 steps. This technology is known for reliability and produces a smooth sinusoidal motor voltage, resulting in quiet motor operation and extended service life.

0-10 V control signal
The controller can be controlled via a 0-10 V input signal. This control signal can be generated by sensors (most Sentera sensors will do, depending on the application) or an external potentiometer (such as MTP or MTV) SenteraWeb, master controller, or third party BMS. These devices generate control signal “telling” the fan how fast to run. The controller's relays switch output voltages to adjust fan speed levels based on the input signal. This type of control signal is used in 90 % of application for short distances. stsv1 and room sensor

TK Protection

The controller features TK protection, which monitors thermal motor contacts (TK) to prevent motor overheating. If motor temperature rises too high, the controller disables the motor to prevent damage. If the motor lacks TK contacts, the controller's TK terminals must be bridged to simulate normal motor temperature. In case the motor has been overheated, its TK protection is activated to stop working and send signal to the controller to stop. In this case the controller needs to be restarted. 

Extra output

The controller has an additional output that operates at 12 VDC. It signals the status of thermal contacts and can be used for lamps or connected to a building management system (BMS) for alerts about motor overheating or fan stoppage.

Auto reset after power failure 
In case of a power failure, the controller will automatically reset itself, and the motor will restart upon power restoration.

Non-regulated output
An unregulated output (230 VAC) is active when the motor is enabled. It can be used for controlling external indicators or devices, such as dampers. It is only active when the motor operates. It is called so because it is either on – 230 VAC or off – 0 VAC. If a damper is connected to it, while the motor runs the damper will be open and when the motor is deactivated the damper will close.
 

LED indication
The controller includes two LEDs - green for normal operation and red for signaling problems like activated TK protection.

Solid enclosure

The controller's enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic, which is heat-resistant, tough and protective. It is well-designed to protect the internal electronics of devices, offers good resistance to environmental factors, and is manufactured with an emphasis on quality control. Sentera produces these enclosures in their own factory to ensure their excellent quality. The enclosure is suitable for surface mounting and offers an IP54 protection rating against dirt, dust, and moisture.
