Designed to be installed in an electric cabinet

IP20 enclosures should be installed in an electric cabinet. They are suitable for indoor environments where the electrical equipment is protected from dust and limited moisture exposure. They are cost-effective and allow for easy access to the internal components for maintenance or adjustments. These inverters are ideal for controlled environments where the risk of water and dust ingress is minimal.

How to control FI-E44 frequency inverters?

These frequency inverters can be controlled via the inputs or via the buttons on the front panel. A digital input signal can be used to generate a start / stop command while an analogue control signal can be used to define the requested motor speed.

The behaviour of the inputs can be adjusted by selecting one of the available macros. This offers the advantage that the most important settings are pre-configured automatically. It takes away the need of programming the functionality for the different inputs. These functionalities are pre-defined in the application macros. In the default macro, input 1 is used to start the motor. An optional 10K potentiometer can be connected to terminals 5, 6 and 7 to adjust fan speed. When input 3 is activated, the motor runs at the predefined speed in parameter 20. When input 3 is not activated (or not connected), the motor speed can be adjusted via the external potentiometer (or analogue control signal).

By selecting a different macro, the inputs will be given different functionalities. Available macros can be found in the manual.
