We are convinced that control devices and sensors can function in the most optimal way when supplied with 24 VDC or 24 VAC. Therefore, all our sensors and sensor switches are available with a power supply of 24 VDC or 24 VAC.
By using 24 VDC as power supply, we can increase the reliability: Our power supplies are equipped with overload protection and in case of a short circuit, they simply shut down. When the short is cleared, the 24 VDC power supply is restored automatically.
Thanks to the 24 VDC power supply, we can reduce both the size and the cost price of our products. Also the wiring is simplified: the sensor output, Modbus RTU communication and power supply can be combined in one standard network cable.
Overall, 24 VDC usage is growing. As more realize its benefits, OEMs and other manufacturers are expected to establish it as the new standard for industrial and residential environments.
